You've seen it all. Every exciting victory, every humiliating defeat. You have journeyed far and wide for the most basic things in life, as well as the most exotic. Maybe you had to walk to school and back by climbing up a mountain... both ways. Perhaps you could have gone pro in Grav-ball, but a bum knee prevented you. To be fair, the possibilities are endless when you're an old person, telling such wild and whacky stories to your grandkids, pupils, or whatever it may be. These youngsters surround you now, awaiting an amazing story to brag about to their friends, so why not deliver?
Write a story of 500 words or more in which an elderly version of your character recounts a great tale from their long and (hopefully) fulfilling life. Whether or not this tale actually happened the way they say it did - if it even happened at all - is for them to know, and their audience to wonder. Participants are encouraged to write in first-person, telling the story through whatever words their elderly character would have used to recount their tale, but this is not required.
