Finished
[House Marka Ragnos]For Mucenic

In regards to the scene description of the state of House(s) respective HQ’s/Home planet as we first hit the ground Returning to home can be an emotional time. It is even more true when you are fighting for your home.

In this is poetry competition and you will be asked to write an English (Shakespearean) Sonnet.

The Sonnet can take one of a couple of forms:

  • Describe what you see when you first hit the surface. (Remember to keep the storyline firmly within the confines of the Star Wars galaxy.)

  • Describe the way your character feels about the changes they see, and how that drives your character towards redemption. These are just examples of some of the things you might consider including in your Sonnet.

If you need a refresher on Poetry please refer to the Shadow Academy course on Poetry for the English Sonnet format.

She calls us home, take up our weapons
Shadows of space give way to snows
Chrome and iron pierce toward the heavens
sleeping now, the city knows.

Beneath the glow, our shielded heart
cold and brutal where our home lies
where we practiced our favorite art
our strongest skill: bringing demise

We come in silence hiding our faces
our echoes louder than our forms
we take our time, erased the traces
so they will never sense our storms

You've had your moment, took time to roam
now make your peace, we're coming home.

Though art a frozen wasteland,
Devoid of hope and full of Snow,
To not be here again would have been grand,
This is a place none should wish to go.

The last I was here I nearly died for her,
But as I look upon it now and see what lies before me,
My hand upon my great beast which gently purrs,
I wonder what I was thinking and as I return a multi-amputee.

This is not what I'd call home,
No that is not what i'd call this place,
This is nothing more than a shell of crack and twisted bone,
A land I'd rather forget a land full of disgrace.

However as long as my family fights to protect her and care,
I will stand for now and do my share.

The coldness surrounds as we leave our warm ship,
While clouds and wind and ice overwhelm.
Our bodies are chilled at each elbow, knee, hip.
But alas we return to our old beloved realm.

The longing most feel, even those of us new,
Explodes with adrenaline to warm up our veins.
The icy cold entrance is not quite as shrewd
When we finally realize that our homelessness wanes.

Sadowans of Ragnos pour into the belly
Of the ancient cathedral more sacred than known.
If everyone understood what she could tell ye
The attack sprung this day would be more profound.

To our enemies we go as our rage fires up,
For tonight we take Tarthos, we shall ne'er give up!

I stepped out of the ship beside The Shroud
I turned and look at the lay of the land
I see in the distant the signs of clouds
streaks of light though the clouds that hit the sand

the lights made the ice world have a slight glow
the land of ice had domes in the distance
the dome of protection kept warmth below
the dome of the city would persistence

we will capture that dome of the city
we will attack them that took are homeland
we will show the invaders no pity
we will make all the invaders disband

let are domes of are citys greet us home
we have returned to are world and to home
