Life Day, since its general acceptance by most of the civilized galaxy, has been defined by its gift giving, and in particular, by the popular image of Santa Claus, a crimson-clad, long-beared, holly-jolly figure, of various racial appearance, usually assisted by miniature helpers. In his red and green starship, powered by the efforts of magical Taun-Tauns, he flies across the galaxy in a single day, delivering gifts and sweets to good boys and girls, while punishing those who are naughty with sacks of coal. The children of the world believe fervently in this mysterious, magnanimous figure; as do those adults who still hold the glowing spirit of Life Day in their hearts. Some say that the Claus’ true power resides in this belief, and through it, he keeps the spirit of Life Day preserved throughout the galaxy.

To honor this merry presence, illustrate one of your characters or NPCs as Santa Claus, out spreading the jollity of Life Day. Alternative holiday figures -Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer, etc.- are also allowed.

Submissions must be made in .jpg, .png, or .gif file format, and will be graded based upon the standard Herald Graphics Grading rubric. Those with happiness and good cheer in their images will win out; those who provide only red-tinted stick figures will receive nothing but coal.
