Life Day is a time for family, friends, and food shared amongst both, a time for sharing joy with those we love, and remembering those that have been lost. People come together on Life Day; they reunite after long years apart, forgive old wounds, and rekindle past connections. Over steaming feasts and unwrapped gifts, vows of affection and fraternity are newly forged, repaired, and newly formed. The memories made during this time last forever; as all the best things should, but never do.
In 500 words or more, create a story describing this year’s Life Day festivities through the eyes of one of your characters. You can make it as mooshy, goosy, and sickeningly wholesome as you’d like, on the level of those Christmas classics over on the hallmark channel. If you wanna have Mommy kissing Santa Claus, or more, be aware; adult content is allowed, but you must NOT publish the submission. A warning would be kind, as well.
Submissions must be in .PDF format, or through the text-box. All grading will be done according to the Fiction Grading Rubric, and Second level crescents and clusters of Ice will be awarded to all those three who sufficiently capture the holiday spirit.
Merry Life Day, and happy writing!
