Competition: Are we there yet?

Finished
Are we there yet?

Objective:

You’re stuck in the ship and there isn’t much to do besides chill and listen to some tunes. Maybe the occasional “are we there yet?” that if said too often gets you a Liam Neeson mind trick. Regardless, it's time to share some tunes with everyone.

Daft Punk - Contact (Ken)
The opening is calm and relaxing, Ken is crusing at lightspeed or possibly at a course change point. Light radio chatter in the background. Something in the end of the conversation pushes Ken back to one of his first missions as a TIE Pilot. Chasing local pirates and hunting them down, culminating in a tight dog fight where he emerges victorious only by luck escaping a mine field he was lead into by the pirate ship.

Royal Republic - Boomerang (Len)
(Side note, check out their song "Baby" if you haven't heard of it before. It's great they make fun of pronunciation and roller disco)
Len is "driving" Kiast. He thinking about the last few years and can't help but think of Odan-Urr's relationship with the Brotherhood being summarized in this song.

Tom Petty & The Heart Breakers - Runnin' Down a Dream (The Iode Boys)
While on their way to the next adventure, Ken and Len pop this song in and jam out. They both are running down their dreams through Odan-Urr. A society striving to be just, equitable, and free.

Never Fade Away – Samurai (Refused) for the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN1RJF55NXI

The title itself would be enough. To fade away is to return to the Force, and that is the goal of a Jedi. Then there’s this verse; “I see your eyes, I know you see me. You're like a ghost how you're everywhere. I am your demon, never leaving a metal soul of rage and fear.” The words Metal Soul most certainly speak to a Jensaarai, and the visualization in the first line of the verse definitely vibes with a Miraluka.

Sugaan Essena – The Hu, for the Fallen Order soundtrack
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJZfEh3EciU

There’s nothing deep or special about this song’s lyrics. It’s the beat and the tone that really sold Raziel on the song. This is the song of a Djem So fighter. It’s powerful, it’s driving, and it’s almost inevitable. There’s no backtracking, just a slow build towards a final finish. The song is controlled though, all of that escalation of tone, but it gets there on its own time and pace.

Arsonist’s Lullabye – Hozier
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNXj1V9Z__Y

Opposite the above, this is pure lyrical attraction. Every bit of this song speaks to a Jensaarai specifically. The constant lure of the Dark Side, and how you don’t tame that demon, but instead leash it? There is absolutely no other song that explains this, and the constant companionship of the living Force, than Arsonist’s Lullabye. The full lyrics are worth a read.

[Tight Pants] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qdNy_vz-gM) = This one is meant to be extremely obnoxious. This would be sung, very loudly, repeatedly.

[S.I.M.P.] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEXCexsfB_o) = This is great to dance to. Especially in a cramped car along with others that will certainly dance with you.

[PI] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRkcGPRXux4) = While not the same topic as the above, it does start with "P." Meant to be both educational and annoying while sung repeatedly.

https://youtu.be/gGLebmo6oNM - this is Gui's scavenging song. Often played when he treasure hunting or looking for parts.

https://youtu.be/z2GyJu4_1qk - this is typically played in Gui's workshop and droid emporium, the Sacred Heap. Keeps him pumped for the long hours and hard work.

https://youtu.be/zJeioCpuel8 - this song played when Gui fled Kiast amid chaos and destruction with a group of younglings. As he looked back at the planet through the viewport, feeling the outpouring of emotion through the Force. He felt as though he was the one to restore hope to a fallen order.
