As it is 1600 meters long the Golan III has plenty of room for design and customization. The station should be divided into several sections so that it can be versatile and serve multiple purposes.
One of the two hangars onboard the ship should be connected to a section that is at least 600 meters long, 650 would probably be safe. This section would be used to repair, refuel and rearm ships. Our largest ship in the clan is currently the Immobilizer at 600 meters long. This space could be used to repair ships after or during attacks as the shields and armor of the Golan could protect the ship until a patch job could be made. When not repairing our own ships this space could be used to house and repair ships of a more commercial nature, generating a steady stream of revenue for the station.
A section of at least 100 meters should be dedicated to the training of our forces. It would hold a variety of simulators and holographic training devices, covering all sorts of training from starfighters and capital ships, to ground combat and even diplomatic relations. This would allow our troops to be more prepared prior to engaging in combat and will make replacing forces lost in fictional battles and events easier and more plausible.
A 400 meter section would be dedicated to relaxation and recreation. A small bar with a number of holotables and a wide selection of drinks and food would help take a load off. The tables would support almost every known game in the galaxy, from gambling in Sabacc and Pazaak, to more strategic holo chess. Some of the booths would be private and equipped with devices designed to prevent noise from escaping the small area, allowing for clandestine meetings and contracts.
50 meters would be designed as a special luxury suite/meeting area. This room would be used in negotiation with important figures and would also give them a place to stay if needed.
The remaining 400 meters are used to house some of the crew staying on station full time. While this group rotates, and the section may become more crowded during times of crisis, there is always a minimum group of 10. This group is made of the NPC Station Master, 7 station crew, 12 pilots, and 30 armed guards (a total of 50 people).
