Competition: Star Wars Movie Pitch - Get Your Movie or TV Show Greenlit!

Finished
Star Wars Movie Pitch - Get Your Movie or TV Show Greenlit!

Background: Let's have a little fun after the RoS concludes and pitch your idea for the next Star Wars TV show or movie. Now, let's add a bit of a twist to it - the movie or TV show is a complete rip-off of an existing movie or TV show.

Prompt: Utilizing a Film Treatment format outline your pitch. Below are the key points to be addressed.

  1. Title - Include which movie or TV show you're ripping off
  2. Logline - This is a short 1-2 sentence summary of the premise
  3. Plot Summary - This is where you outline the key aspects of what will eventually become the screenplay.
  4. Key characters - Include the name, background, and their arc (e.g. how they will develop in the story); must include your character in one of the key roles.

You can see another example of a treatment (this time for a book) that George RR Martin wrote for Game of Thrones

Rules: The fiction must at minimum be 500 words.

Submission: Submissions must be done through the site. Either through PDF, a word document, or using the submit text field below.

Grading: Grading will be done utilizing the Fiction Rubric 2.0 and how closely you've ripped off the original movie/tv show.

Realism will be graded on a curve as artistic license will be given if you want to insert your character into a movie/TV show that would otherwise seem out of place to have a Sith.
