Create a Haiku poem
The Haiku is a simple Japanese poem that is three lines in length. Each line has a Seperate syllable count. The standard count of 5-7-5 will be used for this competition. Details on how a Haiku is written are found in the following link:
An Example of a famous Haiku is:
“A World of Dew” by Kobayashi Issa
A world of dew,
And within every dewdrop
A world of struggle.
All great Haiku poems follow a theme. As such your poem must follow one as well.
Prompt
The brotherhood is a violent and dangerous place. Friends become enemies, and enemies become friends. In keeping with the Japanese tradition of the Haiku, however, we see that even the mighty Samurai took time for peace and calm. As such you must follow their example and compose your haiku on the theme of Serenity. How you choose to define that is up to you.
Grading will be based on format, adherence to the theme, and flow.
Note: Any submissions to this competition from anyone other than members of Plagueis, Scholae Palatinae, Vizsla, or Naga Sadow will be disqualified. Members of other units are ineligible to complete.
