There are few better times than October for horror tales, so here are a few archetypes to work with. Each story in this competition will follow a general premise of a horror tale of various types and forms, from a haunted house to a vampire story.

Each will feature a general set-up, premise, and objective, but it's ultimately down to you in how you wish to execute it. Want it to be a Gothic horror tale? Perhaps an Urban fantasy story? Do you wish to directly insert creatures from folklore into your narrative, or do you want to adapt them to existing Star Wars lore? The choice is yours. You are also permitted to use Expanded Universe or Legends materials, items and elements, as we are not about to penalize anyone for using either timeline.

The individual competitions will be scored in accordance with the Voice Rubric, while points for the overall competitions will be as follows:

• First Place - 4 Points
• Second Place - 3 Points
• Third Place - 2 Points
• Fourth Place - 1 Point

Any ties will be decided by overall placements. This will compare those with the most first, then second, then third place positions to break ties.
