I like to imagine him in some glacial wilderness, looking for artifacts, and he has his headphones on to keep him occupied.

I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nrEaHinGmY - Glass Animals -- Vahrosa is at his peak performance when he's not taking himself seriously, and his choices in music reflect this. By listening to music with a clear beat it helps keep him focused. The song is also silly at a face level, but under the thin veneer, the songs lyrics reflect how Vahrosa avoids thinking about his past entirely, pretending it never existed while performing this playboy, casual persona.

2. My Hallelujah https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEBv0-8lJ2g - Autoheart -- Frankly, its just good music. But then, Vahrosa hears the lyrics "I don't know what you're hunting, its me its something else, and I cannot deny that I am hurting." and he can't help but relate. I imagine him alone, on the glacial ice, sorting through antiquities he's found and getting sidetracked by the fact that this song HURTS him. He will never be someone elses Hallelujah. He's not the waiting kind.

3. Smalltown Boy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjbosSgeHk8 -Orville Peck -- I imagine him traveling on the ice, earpods in to get rid of the noise of the engines. The cold hurts, but he lets it hurt him. There are moments in Vahrosas life where he can't keep pretending he's not a deeply wounded person, and this song really digs into the problems. "The answers you seek will never be found at home. The love that you need will never be found at home." Despite all his wealth, and power, and items he can accumulate, sometimes Vahrosa is still just a runaway boy.

4.Frozen Pines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG_WCN3PdZk -Lord Huron -- Sometimes a song just makes sense for a winter exploration. There's a warmth despite the cold theme, and Vahrosa likes to have appropriate music. All of Vahrosas music is him pretending he's not a deeply sad person, really. The song also makes him think of the night that he had to leave home and never look back.

5. It's All So Incredibly Loud https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyx0YftuyDU - Glass Animals --This is the song for when Vahrosa is overwhelmed and can't take any single thing anymore. This is his song for when things are falling apart and he can't control it anymore. Vahrosa is prone to anxiety attacks if he doesn't have enough stimulation, and so being out in the cold with just him and his thoughts is probably enough to drive him into a panic attack while he settles in for the night before the dawn comes.

[*Winterspell*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLqiQWAXQh8)* - **Two Steps From Hell** -- This song has always been a staple of mine for writing cold weather action and movement, and so might be used equally for the *glacial exploration* as with *fighting monsters*. In fighting, the song starts slow and quiet, providing either a "calm before the storm" or (if possible) the point where Q has found an opponent and is quietly working her way into a spot where she can safely ambush the target from. When the music picks up, that's when the action kicks in. From an exploration/survival perspective, it suits more of a frantic movement, such as if the glacier fissures underfoot, or one of the volcanic undercurrents suddenly becomes an *over*current. It's calm and cold at first, snowy, all before natural chaos breaks out.
2. [*Cold*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUZeSYsU0Uk)* - **Jorge Mendez** -- This sad-sounding piece provides a good lonely feeling while out *exploring* the vast icy wilderness; even touching on the *icy fear* aspect with its somber tone. It easily picks up the windy, blustery solitude of the frozen wastes in a montage sort of capacity, whether the sky is obscured by snow or clear and shimmering with aurora. As an alternative, it works for writing those sad moments where either Q is injured but separated from combat, or for running across the devastation once again caused by the so-called *gods* and their creatures.
3. [*Battle in the North*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEQThgfXT30)* - **Unknown Artist** -- Don't mind the three hour time stamp on this, as the song runs on a loop. This song is something that fits the mental headspace for the less-optimal but more prevalent style of *fighting* for Q: running and gunning. The instances of solitary piano and lighter, airy tones of the melody provide that sweeping mental image of blowing snow, while the tempo and harmony provide the heart-pumping action feeling. Perhaps an instance of Q advancing toward a building to save someone, or a case of running away, trying to stay at least a few paces ahead of the closest caxquette.
4. [*War of the North*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iZ4uiw_3C0)* - **Danheim** -- This band is always good for some heavy-beat music. For me, this is one of those songs for *combatting monsters/"gods"*; when things have gotten into the close, tense, hair-raising moments where the opponents are either staring each other down to search out their next move, or where Q is exploring some dark research station, moving steadily and warily with her gun at the ready and danger around every corner.
5. [*Lullaby*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSfkeTpXYhE)* - **Ulla Pirttijärvi** -- Taking a sharp turn from the other music, this selection was born from a recent personal trip and experience at a museum exhibit that played a Sami lullaby to accompany a craftwork cradle-pack; this is the closest approximation I could find of that tune. In my mind, writing out the various scenes of these fictions, this is the calm moment(s) that are devoid of storms, combat, or fear. These are the times where Q can sit outside her tent, or be walking along, and generally appreciate the auroras or the snowy landscape and find a semblance of peace in where she is and what she's doing.
