Rules

Entries should be at least one verse with no limit.
Poetry will be judged on creativity.

Scoring

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th places receive 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 points respectively.
6th place and non-placements earn 1 point.

In the end, placement on the entire VD 2022 series will award Second Level Crescents.

If my heart could speak
It would shout your name,
My love, I would risk my life's flame
To climb that highest peak;
To reach the furthest shore
If only to rest my lips upon your cheek
And speak to all who would listen
Of your perfection.

I remember well that morning
We met while I sat scorning
This galaxy, its cruel nature
And fate, a wild creature
That hunted my soul like a wounded beast.
Yet I looked up - and there, for all to see
A feast of beauty, raw and pure
Of perfection.
It was then I fell
Into your embrace
My heart it raced
And there, in the door of this abode
Upon the shores of this distant world
My heart spoke your name
For the first time.

My heart, it could speak
My heart, it did seek
And now it has found
It's single lost key
You, my love, complete me.
I love you.
