This event is a joint RP Event between Arcona and Odan-Urr run in the style of a Run-On Competiton. This competition will take place in a thread of the #rp-lobby chat on the Brotherhood’s Discord server. Members are encouraged to write multiple posts throughout the event and to engage with the wider story as they see fit. The overarching goal is for the member to attempt to complete the objective given in the prompt.

Each participant will have access to the [IC] and [OOC] thread for the competion. All Run On posts must go in the [IC] thread; coordination and discussion about the event as well as rolls should take place in the [OOC] thread. The [OOC] thread will have a pinned post that contains character snapshots of all participating members. Snapshots can be added as members post up until the competition close. Please ask the competition organizers for the link to the threads.

Objective

Former Arconan Consul and known terror Atyiru has hijacked one of the party's events and turned it into a free-for-all brawl of holiday decorations, pool noodles, glitter, and eye pain. Your character must survive to escape in time for dinner and maybe a shower. Arconans and Odanites may have to team up to make it out, or they may betray and abandon each other and their fellow clanmates, if it's everyone for themselves. Failure means sparkles that never come out of places and a hug from the Miraluka herself.

Only silliness allowed! No lightsabers or real blasters. Weapons are limited to aforementioned oversized candy canes/decorations/light strings, pool noodles, glitter bombs, gumdrops, and anything on hand that would be NON-LETHAL. Typically deadly Force-Powers will be considered on Kiddy Settings, and anyone trying to do murder will promptly be put to sleep by the DM's Meddling Miraluka. Don't ask what's liable to get drawn on your face in permanent glitter gel pen.

Rules and Grading

The RP/RO will be graded following the Voice Fiction Rubric, with more emphasis on cooperation and humor, in order to determine placement winners.
The DM will use the Roll Bot in the [OOC] thread in order to determine PvP outcomes etc with an element of chance for fairness. Follow DM instructions in the thread. Any of the event organizers may be @ tagged to determine a roll or ruling.
For participation credit to get points in the Parent competition, members must post a minimum of at least 500 words in the [IC] Run On thread. Members who post less than 500 words total will not be eligible for placement but will still obtain competition participation credit on the site. Posts may be edited as per the Edit Rules below.
Members may write their main and alternative characters/NPCs into the run-on. Snapshots must be provided, and the use of alts/NPCs must comply with all other rules of this competition. Snapshots can either be provided to the DM directly or attached using the '/rp snapshot' (instructions for which are provided in the SA Course linked at the top of this text).
In order to limit chaos to manageable levels, members may only bring up to two (2) characters with Snapshots.
An author MAY send consecutive messages in order to complete one coherent “post.” Discord messages cannot exceed 2,000 characters without Nitro, so multiple consecutive messages may be necessary for long posts – plan accordingly, and be sure to write your posts outside of Discord and copy/paste them into the application if you anticipate them being longer than a few hundred words. The application provides a character count gone "over" in the bottom right side of the text box.
Authors anticipating the need for multiple messages can send placeholder messages that they later edit to fill in with sections of their post, to ensure that others do not interrupt a cohesive post.
Posts may be edited or deleted at any time, but doing so may disrupt the flow of the Run On and negatively impact your individual score.
Each post must take place in the given venue. It does not need to remain in the venue, but at the beginning of the event all members are assumed to be present.
Note that anything done to another character or characters is not necessarily canon for the individual or Clan. Canonicity is up to the players.
