Haiku

An Example of a famous Haiku is:

“A World of Dew” by Kobayashi Issa

A world of dew, And within every dewdrop A world of struggle.

All great Haiku poems follow a theme. As such your poem must follow one as well.

Prompt

This year’s theme will be with respect to Honor.

” We have only one judge of honor and character and that is ourselves. The decisions we make and how these decisions are carried out reflect who we truly are.

We are all bound in some way to a code, whether it be personal or held by others like us. This code determines how we carry ourselves and how we represent who or what we serve. Your Haiku is a brief but deep look into your character, their motivations, and how true they are to themselves.

Grading will be based on format, adherence to the theme, and flow.

This event has a 3x placement modifier.

'I am so sorry,
Something struck me in the rear,
I just... wound up here'

'they call me Sokka,
That is in the water tribe,
I am not an oaf.'

You think you're so smart,
With your fancy little words,
This is not so hard.'

'I calls it easy,
Like I paddle my canoe,
I'll paddle yours too!'

'Swish, slash, swing that slang,
I'll just come right back at ya,
Like my... boomerang!'

Don't take this seriously...
