Prompt: Characters really show their true colors when they're in their darkest hour. Maybe that's adrift in deep space, with no hope of rescue. Maybe that's trapped in a cave with a rancor. Maybe that's forgetting the date they had with that lovely Twi'lek a couple months ago, and that blaster is real close to their face right now. This is the end!... or is it?

Rules: In at least 500 words, show me your character in their worst moment. I want to see when hope runs dry and there's no obvious way out. Focus on their thoughts and feelings, take a moment to dig into their psyche. Take this opportunity to show how your character faces certain death... and then get 'em out of it!
