Every organization has someone that is in the top seat. Corporations have CEOs, smaller businesses have owners or managers, and military units have commanders.
For this competition, you will provide a profile for the commander of the Arcona Navy Corps. You may provide as much or as little detail as you like, but the end goal is to have an overview of the character that will effectively hold adminstrative command over the entire Arconan navy. The minimum required information for this competition is:
- Name
- Species
- Physical description, including height and weight/build (the Voice's character creation guide is a good baseline)
- Personality and character quirks
- A brief history/background of the character
Other Considerations
- While Selen, like Dajorra, is not inhabited solely by Selenians, they do make up the majority of the population, followed by humans, then the Keadeans of planet Eldar in pure numbers.
- A character image is not required but may be included if desired. Any image not created by the submitter must have its source cited, including any AI-generated image.
- The ANC commander is an admiral, which comes with it specific accoutrements to the uniform (for images) and a longer service record than most others in the AAF (history/background).
- You may also use the CS Sandbox mode to create a character sheet complete with skills as appropriate for this NPC. If you do, provide the link as part of the profile submission text. Note that the CS does not replace the requirements for character history.
- You may not use any character already extant on the DJB site, either from the wiki or extant/mothballed character sheets.
All submissions will be made in PDF file format, regardless of if the profile was made in a word processor or slideshow program. Save it as a PDF. Grading will be based on the following criteria:
- Completeness (30%): Were all required fields covered? How detailed was each field's content?
- Accuracy (30%): Does the profile make sense relative to Arcona's and Dajorra's history? Did the member do research, or simply throw together the minimum requirements for participation?
- Depth (20%): How "fleshed out" is the character? Is the character a cookie-cutter mook, or do they have a unique personal history?
- Syntax (10%): How well written is the profile? Is it rife with spelling and/or grammatical errors?
- Grader's Preference (10%): Speaks for itself. Also used for tie-breaking.
