The Deets
You know what's a good way to ring in the new year and really keep up with those resolutions? Floor plan design! Yay spring winter cleaning! For seven days each, from the 1st to the 29th, there will be a new prompt for you to create a floor plan with. These prompts will range from something easy like "create a spaceship bathroom" to start with, then finish at the end of the month with something more complex. Each prompt will have "necessary" items that you are required to integrate into your design, such as furniture (a bath tub) or structural pieces (a bay window).
How to Score
- Each week will have a new prompt, hidden until subscription.
- Participation will grant 1 point, while placing 1st will grant 10 points, 2nd 8 points, 3rd 6 points, and 4th 4 points
- The most amount of points at the end of the month wins the bracket. Ties will be broken by who has the most placements.
- Herald's rubric will be used for all submission grading
- Submissions for each comp will be accepted either through traditional/digital sketch (png, jpg, pdf formats only) or through floorplanner share link-- a free floor plan creation software that uses your browser.
Important Misc
- Have fun, please. We haven't had a floor plan competition in a while
- You can do as little or as much detail as you want, as long as the submission fits the requirements of the prompt
- Please feel free to share your designs in the #art-chat in discord, chat amongst each other, and share ideas.
- Co-op designs are allowed; you must just detail who worked on what
