A flesh hand scrubbed through salted copper curls as Kobign looked around, sliding down the back of his neck before settling on a hip. He looked over the bed for a third time, then in the closet for the same.

Just in case he'd dropped it, he even bent to check under their bed, and then backtracked through the hallway to check the path from the laundry room to the bedroom.

But no, nothing.

"Where in the world..." the half-Selenian muttered to himself. He swore he'd put his gray button down in with this load... Canchi was too well-behaved to have taken it from the hamper, so where--?

"Love, have you seen my..." he began, walking back to the living room to ask his husband, and stopped.

Hazel eyes took in the sight before him of his partner, all eight some feet of him, sprawled on the floor, surrounded by toys and the general state of things from an empty bottle to bibs. Tucked up next to him, still able to fit in the palm of his hand, was their infant daughter, sleeping away soundly too, when she'd just been having some playing time after her lunch and burping.

And there was his gray shirt, firmly buried under both their faces.

Stolen, just like his mended heart.

Marrien Moon liked his smell just as much as her father did. He should have known.

Smiling to himself, Kob thought to grab a quick Holo before he joined them, easing down, breath held, the anxiety of how he didn't deserve any of this a distant thing, for now. His family needed and wanted him.

That was the truth.
