Here's your chance to answer (a form of) the viral question: would you rather meet a man or a bear in the woods?

By circumstances entirely up to you, your character finds themself all alone on a forested planet. Write me a story about where you end up, how you got there, and what happens when you meet either (1) a sentient being, or (2) a large, potentially dangerous creature. Be as serious or funny as you'd like; I'm looking for creativity!

Stories will be judged by the Fiction Rubric 3.0. Ties will be broken by what I find most creative. Entries must be at least 500 words, with. no upper limit. Entries must be uploaded to the site in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format or included as a Google Docs link. Please include a snapshot of the equipment you've brought.
