The Restructure and Preparation of The O.U.S.C. Army 6th Infantry Regiment

The Breakdown:

The Odan-Urr United Space Command or O.U.S.C. is the combined military force of Clan Odan-Urr and its associates, covering naval and ground forces, used to defend their home system and initiate policing actions. Originating in the wake of the Battle of Florrum, where the Kotahitanga-Unity Defense Force, Sentinel Network, and recruits from all corners of Brotherhood space who wished to join the fight against an oppressive Iron Throne formed to create the Odanite Expeditionary Force or O.E.F. Initially intended to serve a defensive role, it served as the Odanite military arm while the Sentinel Network acted as its main intelligence service. In the waning days of 41 ABY, under the guidance of a newly appointed Councilor of War, a series of new edicts were handed down through the ranks following a Fleet Review. These edicts attempted to solidify the core formation of the O.U.S.C., empower the Expeditionary Forces, and finalize the restructuring that had begun in 40 AB.

Assets not immediately assigned to The Jedi Praxeum, from independent sources, or who no longer had a home to return to and wanted to continue the fight against the darkness were quick to join the separated O.E.F. and the restructured O.U.S.C. Army and Marine Corps.

The O.U.S.C. Army is a wide-ranging military force, encompassing a broad swathe of Odan-Urr's forces, military spending, and manpower. Deployment of the O.U.S.C. Army requires approval from a War Council, comprised of delegates from The Jedi Order, O.U.S.C. Joint Chiefs, and the Vatali Empire. Adaptable to any environment, with dedicated forces at the Division and Regiment level to the handling of specific operations, the Army is a Hammer to the Marine Corp.'s Spear.

The Competition:

Sergeants, the rank and file non-commissioned Staff, chosen for their ability to give as much as they take, keep things orderly, and keep their troops alive. Sergeants serve at the Section level. Responsible for a handful of men and women, their job is simple. Keep it clean, keep it clear, and make it home at the end of tour.

As the O.U.S.C. prepares to deploy assets to Quermia the Second Expeditionary Strike Group has been determined as the most effective tool to aid the Jedi Temple's diplomatic mission if the situation on the ground turns hostile. Forces selected and Sailors deployed have been routed through the Councilor of War's personal datapad for review.

The competition is to help supply us with the relevant information in those dossiers to establish the characters going forward in this Campaign and to build a roster available for all future fiction!

• Entries will be graded based on the depth of character design, how organic their histories come off to the grader, as well as incorporating the standard grading metrics found in the Fiction Grading Rubric.
• Placing contestants characters will have their NPCs added as Sergeants in the O.U.S.C. Army 6th Infantry Regiment.
• Submissions should be in .PDF or .gdoc formats
