The disaster that struck the Selenian continent of Ussun and its neighboring islands have left the land and its people weakened and in critical need of aid. Unfortunately, there are more than a few groups and individuals who see this as an opportunity to enrich themselves at the expense of the most vulnerable populations of our fine continent. It's your task to write your character encountering one of these opportunistic parties and resolving the conflict with them.

If you're struggling with specific scenarios, I've provided some for you:

• A local gang in Subterranean Korda has been extorting local small business in order to collect protection credits.
• You find a charlatan peddling fake miracle cures to people desperate for relief from their ailments.
• Local Selenian villagers come to you with reports of the looting of abandoned properties in the area.
• Old tensions rise when villagers begin fighting amongst themselves over precious, limited resources such as food, fresh water, and medicine.
• A shipment of supplies designated for the relief efforts has gone missing, and it's up to you to locate it.

Entries will be judged by the Fiction Rubric 3.0. In the event of a tie, I'll decide based on the story that I find the most entertaining. Your entry must be at least 500 words, with no upper limit. Entries must be submitted in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format and uploaded to the site.

No snapshot is required for the character you choose to use. You may also include other characters or NPCs if you so desire. If you're featuring someone else's character in your entry, just make sure you ask for permission to use them.
