**Part 1: The Awakening**

In a distant corner of the galaxy, the Brotherhood discovers a long-lost starship, the Icarus, drifting on the edge of the Unknown Regions. Once the centrepiece of a secret hyperspace experiment, the Icarus vanished without a trace centuries ago, along with its crew and its powerful, experimental drive core known as the Resonance Engine. Now, the Brotherhood dispatches you to board the derelict vessel, recover the Resonance Engine, and uncover the mystery behind Icarus’ disappearance.*

But from the moment you step aboard, it becomes clear that the Icarus is no ordinary derelict. The ship pulses with dark, malevolent energy, distorting reality and warping the minds of those who dare to explore its haunted corridors. Whispers echo through the walls, and the very structure of the ship seems to twist and shift as if it were alive—and hungry.

As you delve deeper, you uncover the terrifying truth: the Icarus didn’t just disappear; it crossed into a dark dimension where the boundaries between reality and the dark side of the Force have twisted into something monstrous. The ship itself has become a predator, feeding on the fear and madness of those who walk its halls.

Faced with the increasingly dangerous and distorted environment, you must decide whether to harness the Resonance Engine’s power, risking further corruption, or destroy it to prevent the darkness from spreading beyond the Icarus. The ship tightens its grip, twisting your perceptions and warping reality as it tries to claim you.

Your survival depends on your ability to resist the ship’s influence, uncover the truth, and escape the Icarus before it consumes you completely. But the deeper you go, the more you realise that escaping may be the hardest challenge of all.
