Running
The Great Mario Kart Tour: Take 4

96 courses. 24 cups. 6 series. 1 winner.

Welcome to the Great Mario Kart Tour: Take 4!

Each cup will be available beginning in order with the Mushroom Cup for a period of 5 days, in which your task will be to achieve the fastest possible time trial time that you can get. There will be 4 races per cup and 4 cups per series. Each cup will have a required racer/kart combination, to make sure everyone has access to the required karts, all kart combinations will be items all players have access to upon starting the game.

Updated Rules:

  • Mode: Time Trial - Speed: Any

  • Please note, unlike in previous Mario Kart competitions, each cup will have racer and kart requirements!

  • A screenshot must be added at the conclusion of each time trial race during the last screen where all of the lap times and cumulative times are shown for that track. Screenshots of the track's time from the track selection menu will not be accepted.

  • All photo-based submissions must have an original creation date of no sooner than the start of the applicable cup event, and will also be verified against past submissions to ensure repeats are not submitted. Nintendo screenshots that are submitted contain their own metadata showing the original date the screenshot was taken in the game and will be checked to verify that it was taken within the Cup's event window.

  • Submissions that have a creation date within the metadata prior to the start of the event will be disqualified and may be referred to the Chamber of Justice in instances of repeat violations, and any submissions found to have been used in the past will be referred automatically.

  • Submissions using any other variation of kart or racer other than the one listed in the competition details will be eligible for participation only!

With the conclusion of each Cup, points standings will be awarded on the following point schedule on each individual track placement based on fastest time:

1st: 15 Points
2nd: 12 Points
3rd: 10 Points
4th: 9 Points
5th: 8 Points
6th: 7 Points
7th: 6 Points
8th: 5 Points
9th: 4 Points
10th: 3 Points
11th: 2 Points
12th: 1 Point

Points will be tallied at the end of each cup, series and the overall event to determine placements.

As the event progresses, as each cup event concludes the ladder standings will be updated to reflect the overall point leaders. Should there be a tie on a particular track, all of the lap times will be looked at for who did more faster laps than the other.

The member with the greater number of faster laps than the other member will be considered first.
* Example: 3 lap race
* Both racers net 04:15:26 as the final time.
* Member A has 1:25:08, 1:21:06, and 1:29:12 * Member B has 1:23:08, 1:24:06, and 1:28:12
* Member B would be in 1st due to a faster 1st and 3rd Lap.

Ties will be settled on the number of first-place finishes, then second, and so on until winners are found.

Good luck, and have fun!
