The clock is ticking and everyone is counting on you, whether they know it or not. The heat is on, the pressure is high, and if you screw this up people will die. It doesn’t really matter how you found yourself here, or how relevant your skills will be in handling it– you are the one who has to do it and figure this out, and if you don’t… People you know will die.

Write a story about a situation your character finds themselves in, in the midst of the War at large. It could be a bomb needing to be defused, it could be an urgent communication that needs to be deciphered, or it could be anything else so long the story is centered around a time sensitive issue that only your character can solve (or not). Entries must be at least 500 words and will be graded according to the Voice Fiction Grading Rubric 3.0.
