Ok, most everyone has heard of the MT's which suck, or the large competition writing comps, which also suck. Those aren't how writing competitions go.

This is.

I give you the opening line, and you finish the story. 3000 word maximum, and 1800 word minimum. It can go off into any genre of prose writing.

Here's your opening line: It just wasn't fair, this kind of thing happens to other people...
