Competition: [Reboot] Pieces of the Whole

Specifics

A battle is a place of great chaos. Tides of combat ebb and flow, raging events clash against each other as if on a dejarik board, but in the end the big picture obscures the pieces of the whole. We often forget the individual fight of a single combatant.

I want you to show me that fight. In the midst of your battle with the enemy, be it waged from the shadows, on the front lines, aboard the contested Instigator or in the skies of Sigil 2, show me your part of the puzzle. Write a fiction, minimum of one page in length, depicting a heated fight between your character and an adversary. All the while, a greater skirmish goes on around you.
