There was once a legend told of an ancient Jedi Master who went mad in his quest to vanquish those who fell to the Dark Side. Overwhelmed by his desire to purge the darkness, he ended up falling into darkness himself. His once noble robes were drenched with crimson blood and he used forbidden techniques to create a small army of creatures to command. Eventually, the Jedi Council intervened and the fallen Master was exiled from the Order, forced to spend the remainder of his days reflecting on his path in the frozen wasteland of Hoth. Eventually he would succumb to death and his tale was lost to the annals of time. But that was not the end of this story.

Entombed within a vast cave, the spirit of the Jedi Master survived. Consumed by his hatred he became like those he hunted, blinded by his own twisted morality. Once a year, when the planet Hoth nears its solstice, his bounds are weakened and the spirit becomes strong enough to escape. The story goes that once free of his bonds, he seeks out those strong in the Dark Side of the Force and slaughters them mercilessly in the dead of the night.

Rumor revived this legend. Rumors claiming that each year the Grand Master sent some hapless soul to satisfy the spirit's lust for blood. As the Brotherhood recovers from the Horizon Plague, the time nears for the spirit to hunt once more. Someone must be sent in order to protect the wounded Brotherhood…

Because no one is safe when Sithy Claus comes to town…

OOC The Grand Master has chosen you as this years X-Mas sacrifice and it is your duty to travel to the wastes of Hoth to confront the fallen Jedi Master known as Sithy Claus. Your mission is to use any means possible to prevent Sithy Claus from leaving the cave of his tomb. Can you survive this task? Can you hold off the insane spirit of Hoth? Or are you strong enough to slay the fallen Master and end this legend once and for all?

This is a holiday-themed competition and, as such, is less restrictive when it comes to content and realism. Choose how you wish to complete your mission and design your own version of Sithy Claus and his holiday-themed minions! Be creative and have fun with it.

A special reward awaits the winner of this event, so everyone give it their best.

Grading Rubric: 1. You may write in any point of view of this competition. 2. Entries must exceed 750 words. 3. Times New Roman or Arial. 11-12 Point Font. 4. Realism requirements are lifted, you are fighting Santa Clause. 5. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation will account for 33% of your entry. 6. Style and flair will account for the final 66% of your entry.
