Competition: Raptor Surprise

Finished
Raptor Surprise

Specifics

While preparing for the Summer games at the Coliseum elsewhere on Judecca, a large wooden crate was delivered to Xen'Mordin's office at the Imperial Palace. Although normally large shipments are reviewed and picked up at the shipping dock, the classified nature this shipment was sent under required immediate delivery. The large office befitting an Emperor was one of few areas classified highly enough to hold it with so many incoming shipments for the games. While on other business at the Imperial Palace to prepare for the games, you are asked to stop by the office yourself to retrieve some historical files on past games for a historical exhibit being planned. When you walk inside the office nothing seems amiss as you flip through some low encryption archives. An unexpected high pitch sound catches your attention as you look up to watch the back end of the otherwise unexciting wooden crate tear open as large claws easily splinter the wood. You find yourself on the far end of the office, staring into the eyes of a velociraptor standing on top of the shattered crate between you and the door. With no time to figure out why, write your escape, and the fate of the raptor in at least 250 words. All entries sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses].
