Every action, no matter how small, has consequences; and theyâre not always intended or foreseen. The possibilities for the future are endless. How could one tiny act change the course of an entire war?
This fiction is twofold. Write about your character and the outcome of the upcoming battle; then, change one small thing, and watch the ripple-effect. Did you pack one extra ammo clip? Trip over a fallen comrade? Kill an enemy you didnât before? Or perhaps this time, you looked right, not left, when the battle cries sounded. Just one small thing changed...
Each piece should be a minimum of 300 words, with no maximum. The two works should also have different conclusions, whether the difference is slight, or the story becomes completely new. Entries can be as humorous or serious as you like.
