As splendidly illustrated by the development of the DJB since April 2003, ten years can be a long time and things can turn from the worst of stagnation or war to prosperous glory in a decade. Of course, it is just as possible for the opposite to happen. Which direction you want to highlight is your decision. To compete in this event, first create (or find on the web) two pictures that represent the same object, location or person ten years apart, then write a story in two parts, telling the images' story in two episodes set exactly ten years from each other, each part being an independent narrative that would make a good story on its own.
Your story pair can be set at any location and time in the Star Wars universe, it need not necessarily have a DJB connection (although there is a small bonus available). The pictures should be chosen to be a conceptual match to the core development in your submission; if you choose images created by third parties, you must provide appropriate credit. The length of the two stories should be approximately equal and each should be no longer than three pages, with no minimum (except of course the length you need to tell a meaningful story).
