As House Plagueis seeks to strengthen its grip on the Anchorage and surrounding space, you have been tasked with leading a assault team to destroy a nearby research station. The research station is close enough to the Anchorage to detect the arrival and departure of elements of the Ascendant Fleet. The Summit does not want the operators of the station to notice an uptick in activity as Plagueis repositions its assets.
The station orbits Korbal, an uninhabited planet in the Scythan system. Ostensibly used for civilian research, the Summit believes that the station also serves as a military outpost for a local warlord who would not be pleased to find heavily armed Dark Jedi in his backyard. Therefore, it is essential that the outpost be utterly destroyed and that no/no communications or survivors be allowed to escape.
You will lead a team of seven other Plagueins: two other Dark Jedi plus five Wraiths. The Dark Jedi are at or below your own rank and possess no special training. Four of the Wraiths are trained in demolitions and close quarters combat; the fifth Wraith is a skilled combat pilot who will fly you in and provide extraction at the end of the mission, unless you order otherwise.
No/no other House assets are available for this mission.
The research station is equipped with turbolaser and point-defense batteries. The Summit does not believe that it is currently protected by any starfighters.
The station is believed to be run by a small group of civilian and military researchers, none of whom are expected to provide much resistance. The Summit believes they are guarded by five to ten security officers and between ten and twenty light combat droids.
An unknown number and type of enemy reinforcements may be within range of a distress signal, so be sure to neutralize enemy communications as soon as possible. There are also likely to be escape craft of some sort in the station's hangar bay. Do not/not allow anyone to escape.
Write a Battle Report describing this mission. It should cover all phases of the mission from tactical planning to execution to extraction. The best Battle Reports will include creative solutions to unforeseen or difficult problems that you encounter during the mission. There is no required format or word count, and graphics may be included to supplement your fiction but are not necessary.
The best submission may become part of House Plagueis canon.
