Tarsus had his orders. The emperor’s orders to be more exact. Most would have followed the orders Tarsus was given, though he wouldn’t this time. Not these orders. The emperor who Tarsus respected so much gave him orders he can not follow; orders to kill his own master was out of the question. The Obelisk never betray someone he cared so much for. His exact orders were to get Black Eagle, and help him assassinate Shadow Nighthunter. Shadow Nighthunter was Tarsus' master, and he wasn’t about to let her die quiet yet. Straight from the start, Tarsus knew this was a set up. Someone told the emperor lies about his master, and he wasn’t going to let these orders follow. Tarsus decided to do something else, and that was to kill Black Eagle. He expected this doing to be toward Back Eagle. Tarsus was to go to Black Eagle, and inform him about the assignment.
Tarsus was walking through the hall ways. The man towered at 6 feet; 5 inches. He was strong as well; very strong. To workout his arms, and Shadow has seen this, he lifts 500 pound tree trunks…. With one arm each. All Tarsus cared in training was to become stronger, harder, and tougher, yet fast and nibble. To be a nibble giant was his goal. Imagine the speed of small warrior with the strength and toughness of a giant. This wouldn’t be a force to challenge, so his theory goes. Why fight a giant that is just as fast as you, maybe faster? As of now, he has a mission to do.
Tarsus finally reached the room of Black Eagle. The Obelisk knocked on the door as it quickly opened.
“Oh, hello, Tarsus!” the young Black Eagle greeted with much glee.
Tarsus smiled as he shook Eagle’s hand. “Well, hello, Eagle! How was your morning?”
The Black Eagle smiled as he motioned Tarsus to come in. “Oh, it was good… Yours?”
Tarsus shrugged. “Eh…. Same ol’, same ol’.”
“I feel you.”
“Oora.”
Black Eagle looked around, trying to find something to entertain his company. “So… What do you like to do?”
An idea popped into Tarsus’ head. “Well, there is this one thing I like to do,” Tarsus said as he walked over toward Eagle’s window. He opened it and waved Black Eagle to come near. “There is this… Beautiful shrine you can see from here… and, during this time of the day… It shines at this angle.”
Black Eagle’s looked at Tarsus with curiosity. “Really? I never noticed such a thing?”
“Well, because it only last for a minute… and, the shine isn’t really bright, but… You can see it… and… Well, you just got to watch! It is really cool what happens!”
Eagle shrugged as he peered out of the window. Tarsus seeing his chance to destroy Eagle.
“I don’t see-”
Quickly, Tarsus snapped Eagle’s neck, almost ripping the head off. The Obelisk pushed the body over and out the window and left the room.
“No more, shall I have to worry about him,” thought Tarsus.
