Family Relations:
Satto Verkeres was born on Dantooine in 17 BBY and is the eighth of nine children. Of his siblings, he has five older sisters and three older brothers, with one younger sister, Mina. He has icy relations with all his siblings, specifically his oldest sibling and sister Cara, but is lovingly attached to his young sister Mina. Four years older than Mina, he has always taken up the role of her protector from whatever came her way. Satto has never known his father, much the same with his other siblings and the whole of his family has been raised by his mother. A sickly woman, the term 'raise' should be used loosely, as she often could never fully care for her children. As Dantooine could not provide Mother Verkeres with proper medical facilities or medicine, the family was forced to make a desperate move away from home. With little money, the Verkeres family could not travel further inward toward core worlds or expansion territories, and were forced to seek a new home on outer rim territories. This lead the family traveling to Tattooine, where Satto’s life developed.
Adventures so far in life:
A year after his arrival on Tattooine, at the age of 10, Satto’s family was in danger of becoming slaves to local gangs and slave owners due to accumulative debt of Ms. Verceres medicine. Seeking a way to prevent this, Satto sought out a local scrap dealer who had too little money to buy droids after purchasing half destroyed starships. Convincing the alien to allow himself and his family to scrap and dismantle these ships would be cheaper than doing it himself, Satto effectively found a paying job that saved his family from slavery. More importantly, it allowed him the chance to work with ship computers, where he taught himself to learn and master programing, software, and hacking.
He did this for over a year, up until his oldest sister Cara had an idea. A bully from birth and now 16, Cara contacted the Hutts with a deal: She would get her intelligent brother alone to be taken for slavery for a decent price and a better paying job. A shrewd negotiator, her demands were met, and Satto was taken from Tattoine to Nal Hutta, where he was used as a tool to undermine the other Hutt clans by the young, but ruthless the ruthless Jabba the Hutt. With Satto constantly improving his skills, he eventually found a way to escape through manipulating the schedules of freighters to arrive on Nal Hutta, but was sold again before he could enact his plan. Satto was 13 at the time.
No longer was Satto a free roaming prisoner of Hutt’s, he was now a forced laborer in an Imperial slave camp on Kessel. Here where air was not fit to breath and no real atmosphere existed and his ability to use technology was stripped away from him. While he did not wan to remain a prisoner, he had constant dreams of help coming to his aid and for some reason, headed these dreams. Soon after these dreams began to occur, their prophecies came to fruition: a group of pirates came in search of spice and raided Kessel. The battle was short lived, but many laborers, including Satto, joined the pirates in their fight and flight from Kessel. Quickly befriending them, Satto would stay with the pirates and cause raids on the empire and occasionally some undeserving victims, for 4 years. Here he learned the basics of marksmanship and finally mastered his computer skills by reprogramming an assassin droid who was designated 2L-37 M, which Satto renamed ‘2 Long’ in accordance with the droids height. He was 18 when he left their company and returned to Tattoine in search of his sister Mina and his now former sister Cara.
On his arrival he found Cara enjoying life with the Hutt’s, three of his other siblings dead, three working either as moisture farmers or scrappers, and Mina about to be sold into slavery. This time, Cara was not the cause, Mina had just inherited her mother debt. The collectors were a group of petty criminals and small time criminals who no one would miss, and so Satto took care of them as he saw fit. Seeking to remove Mina away from Tattoine, he grudgingly searched for work with his sworn enemy and former captures, Cara and the Hutt’s. Satto’s work included some smuggling, but revolved around ripping of banks, aliens, and anti imperial computer skirmishes, which he did very well at. He wished to take revenge on Cara before he departed from Tattooine, but never did, since he had more prophetic dreams of someone else taking her life for unknown reasons. After two years, he made enough money to take Mina into the Core worlds of the empire, where she has lived a comfortable life ever since. The the two’s new home was established on Coruscant in 3 ABY.
Modern day:
With the fall of the empire and the rise of the many factions of the Empire remnants and rebellious factions, Satto often finds himself in the employment of the Dark Brotherhood or Galactic Alliance. He owns a starship called the Free Bird, and has a crew of three other individuals:
2 Long: His faithful Assassin droid companion who he constantly updates and upgrades, the two share a close bond even though 2L is only a droid. In fact, it’s because of Satto that 2L even has a personality at all.
Barthyeous (Bar-thee-os): A Bothan who Satto bonded with over drinking. He serves specifically as an infiltrator and a representative of the crew, as he often finds the crew various lucrative missions.
Ferrga: A Gran who was a former mercenary. The crews only real combatant, she is often seen talking to her rifle, as she has spent much time alone and views her gun as her only true companion.
Satto has never been married and has no children, however, he is extremely fond of his sister Mina, and is an adoring uncle of his niece, Ofina (O-fee-na).
