Wait, you’ve heard this? Are you accusing me of copying and pasting straight from my last competition? You’re right. I’m lazy. And Canadian. And thus, by the Ice Hockey Act of 1902, must love hockey.

Hence why I wish to peddle my wares at you again. With the success of the March Madness tournament, I will play host to an NHL Playoff competition.

I’m not happy with any sites that I can find, so I’m going to be hosting this the old-fashioned way – Excel spreadsheet and email.

Before the start of each series/round, email me with the winning team and predicted games the series will last (ie – Vancouver in 6 (yes, I know, they’re eliminated… already)).

I’ve listed the start date as the final day of the regular season simply because that’s when the series will be set in stone officially.

Be aware that you’ll have to stay on the ball (or puck, as it were) and email me EACH round as teams get eliminated. Winners earn shiny 3rd-level Crescents since you actually have to keep up with what’s going on and submit new predictions as the series’ level out.

Scoring

Correct teams will earn you 1 point in round 1, 2 in round 2, 4 in round 3, and 8 in the final round.

A single bonus point will be awarded for each series you correctly predict the length of.
