This is my "Sith Box" cigar box guitar amplifier. I built the circuit board myself using a LM 386 IC chip and did all the soldering and woodworking. It was originally a Rothchilde Maduros box. All the hardware is matte black- corners, handle, hinges, etc. The knobs are old school red chicken-head style knobs. The speaker cloth is pirate skulls, and the grille is a 80mm computer fan grille.

This wee amplifier puts out about 2.5 watts RMS through an 4 ohm, 3 watt, 4 inch speaker salvaged from an old television. A lot of the screws, wires, and parts were salvaged from old televisions. It is powered by a 9v DC battery, or by a 9v DC adapter.

The sound clip is a blues I wrote called "Brotherhood Blues", fitting for the mood of the event. At the end of the sound clip I play some moody finger-picked music to give a better idea of what the little amplifier can do with other formats. I'm not a great guitarist, but building these things is a new hobby of mine. I had a blast making it. Enjoy!

All sounds were generated by Misium (in one take. Thanks, broken practice amp). About 50% of the lyrics were written by Misium, the other half were written by Tra'an Reith #9059.
