Note: This competition is part of parent competition Forgotten: Entanglement but due to target unit restrictions cannot be listed as a sub-competition on the site properly.

Objective: Each Dark Jedi of House Imperium are given command of an operation with the goal to secure a unique given location on Ptolomea where members of the Evanescent are known to be performing rituals as part of a plan to awaken the Old Gods, preventing whatever is being performed inside, and collecting as much information as possible. Forces are to be left on location while the Dark Jedi commander reports back on the mission results.

Friendly forces: You are given an LAAT/i to transport you and your deatchment to the underground chamber on Ptolomea where Imperial Scholae Intelligence reports last spotted the enemy forces. While the crew of the gunship transport will remain with the LAAT/i, you and 29 additional hand picked members of the 7th Infantry Legion will head inside to carry out the mission. Secondary objective is to collect as much information as possible on the Evanescent on the true nature of what their rituals will accomplish.

Enemy forces: The Evanescent are only recently militarized, as more ambitious and destructive anti-Empire characters work their way up the ranks of a traditionally spiritual group. As such, expect limited resistance, with inexperience and limited equipment. No more than a dozen members are being dispatched to each location with an assortment of equipment and relics to carry out their duties.

How to submit: Write a 1,000 word fiction. No maximum. That completes the written objectives above from your character’s point of view as it actually happens, in whatever location and manner you choose given the details above. It is expected that the resulting story actually happened for each submission, as realism and impact allows, allowing for RP and character development. Submissions should be in a word format (.doc, .docx, .txt, .pdf). Anything written in a GoogleDoc needs to be exported or pasted in the submission box.
