This year is an epic year for the Star Wars Universe. Your mission is to write a poem about any of the new Star Wars "items" this year. For example it could be about Episode VII, Anaheim Convention, new books/comics, or upcoming video games. The poem can be about anything as long as the inspiration is derived from a new Star Wars releases. The only restriction is that the poem's style has to be a Haiku, which is defined by the Shadow Academy as:
"A Haiku is one of the most specialized forms of poetry there is, since it is the most rigidly structured. A Haiku poem has three lines, with the first line containing five syllables, the second containing seven syllables, and the third containing five syllables again. There is almost never a rhyme scheme, though there is no reason there cannot be. Also, there is no requirement stating that each line must be a complete sentence."
The winner will be determined by me and will be the most creative poem. The only way poems will be invalid is if they do not follow the Haiku structure. If your inspiration isn't obvious supply a quick introduction to shed some light what your poem is about. Have fun, be creative, and count your syllables.
