The Putorans are a very eccentric but very kind people. Their exact homeworld is unknown as they are a nomadic people, traveling in family ships. They consider friends to be as a member of their own clan. Any humanoid who manages to gain their trust will find the Putroans are willing to do nearly anything for them. The species are strict herbivores. Force Sensitivity is a norm among the aliens, and those who are unable to feel or access the Force are outcasts among them. The beings are accomplished explorers despite their odd biology, and communicate using a form of telepathy and movement to communicate. Most can communicate in at least simple thoughts to humanoids, but some have become quite eloquent after a few years in the galaxy at large. Most are quite studious, displaying a desire to know more about the galaxy around them.
