Just a handful of years have gone by since the second World War, and some countries are booming while others struggle. Tensions are on the rise between national superpowers as economic views clash. Men the world over look to the stars and race to be the first to reach the sky. And amidst it all, there's those high schoolers in their cardigans and leather jackets, running around singing musical numbers about their honeys.

This is the primitive world you awaken to find yourself in, Jedi or otherwise. Tell the story of the madness that ensues. Are you alone, or have your friends ended up mysteriously stranded with you? Do you settle in to find yourself a desk job and 2.5 kids? Get kicked out of beauty school? Are you snatched up by government officials and taken to an underground base for UFOs? Or do you just go plain crazy trying to explain the galaxy far far away to a bunch of humans who've never even left the atmosphere? As if all the greased hair and catchy chorus lines weren't bad enough...

Stories can be submitted in any format (Google doc, PDF, Word file, etc) and should be a minimum of 500 words but no longer than 7500 words. Entries will be graded based on the Voice Fiction Rubric. Hyperrealism to the decade is not necessary - have fun and enjoy yourselves!
