On a routine cargo drop off, you and your cargo cruiser are boarded by pirates. You and the crew, a handful of pilots, some mechanics, and a few deck hands, are responsible for the defense of your vessel.

You find yourself taking charge of the crew, and formulate your own way of dealing with the attack. Write a fiction, no less than 500 words, that describes you repelling the attack, either diplomatically or through might. This competition will be marked using the Standard Fiction Rubric.
