Competition: [Fall of Perdition] Dirge For The Damned

Finished
[Fall of Perdition] Dirge For The Damned

Many have died at the hands of Perdition soldiers, and the Dajorran system mourns those lost in battle. Write or perform a Dirge, a lament for those lost, or a vow of vengeance against those that have taken them from us.

Dirge – A mournful poem meant to honor someone who has died.

Ex: from “O Captain! My Captain!” by Walt Whitman

For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths- for you the shores a-crowding,

For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;

Here Captain! dear father!

This arm beneath your head!

It is some dream that on the deck,

You've fallen cold and dead.

Clusters of Ice will not be rewarded for this event

Grading will be based off of execution and accurate response to the prompt.

We Have Seen You

When the wind has been cut short,
And our voices are no longer carried,
We remember that we have seen you,
Your memory never buried,

In your glory and victory,
In your shame and defeat,
We have seen you,
And will remember with each beat,

The stakes were high,
You refused to stumble,
We have seen you stand tall,
Your will strong and simple,

Though the world now feels empty,
Devoid of your smiles,
We have seen your loved ones,
And ease their trials,

For we have seen you,
And we do not forget,
We remember you well,
And find you well met.
