"Singles awareness day" (S.A.D....aka Valentine's Day ) is fast approaching and the lives of Sith lords, Jedi and elite soldier/mercenaries are lonely ones. Your character (or another of your choosing) has decided to seek some intimate company via the holonet during this season of love. Which site or holopad app do they use? What do they put on their profiles? What/whom are they seeking? Are they looking for love in secret lest their soft side or need for forbidden attachment be discovered?

Format

Create a holonet dating profile for a Dark Brotherhood character of your choice (remember to ask permission if the character is not your own).

• Entries can be graphical in nature (Ranging from a fake screenshot from a dating app like Tinder or Grindr...keep it PG-13 to full web page mockups) or purely text based.

  • Purely text based entries must be at least 150 words in length to count as a valid submission. (Throw some of those typical dating site personal questions in there and answer them in character if you find yourself under the wordcount)
  • Graphical submissions can be fake app screenshots or even full webpages...get creative!
  • Entries can be in any standard text, graphics or multmedia format. The competition organizer may contact you if there is an issue opening your submission. Failure to respond to such a request in a timely manner may result in disqualification.
    

• No clusters of ice will be awarded for this competition.

Criteria

• Entries must be of a Dark Brotherhood member character or NPC. The character depicted must be specified in the entry description.

• Entries, both text and graphical will be judged by the following rubric: creativity (25%), perceived effort (25%), comedy factor (50%).

• Ask permission before using someone else's character

• There is a fine line between parody and harassment, any entries which could be construed as an outright attack on a third party are discouraged and you may be asked to resubmit prior to the closing date. Also all graphical entries must be SFW or PG-13, in other words, no explicit nudity. Excessive vulgarity in text based entries will count as a detractor, remember comedy is a subtle art, innuendo is fine. If in doubt, ask the competition organizer for clarification.
