You have been chosen to lead a team of Tarenti to scout the new nearby encampment. Your orders are to not make contact with the intruders. Instead you are to get an idea of how many of them there are, how much firepower they have, and what they are trying to do so that we can make a plan to do away with them.

Please write the story of your team's mission, incorporating the additional details revealed when you subscribe. In spite of your orders you may accidentally or purposefully initiate first contact with the encampment.

The winning entry will be incorporated into our ongoing canon fiction related to the invading settlers. Fiction will be scored based on the standard grading rubric.
