It is always a special day when a member receives their first ever Grand Cross of the Dark Side, as it signifies extreme commitment and passion of that member to their House, Clan, and club. Today, I am honored to award Vivibelle Baenre her first in recognition of her tremendous efforts over the past 10 months as a member of House Galeres and Clan Arcona.
Since her last recognition, Vivi has participated in 69 competitions, (co)organized 2 competitions, logged 36 PvP Matches, submitted 49 PvE Activities, penned 6 Fiction Activities (5510 words!), collected 12 Crescents (1 Cr-R, 2 Cr-A, 6 Cr-S, 2 Cr-E, 1 Cr-T), earned a Pendant of Blood, and accrued 240 Clusters of Fire, 11 Clusters of Ice, and 221 Clusters of Earth, demonstrating a strong ability to contribute in a wide array of competition types that help propel Arcona’s strong participation numbers in each quarter. Additionally, she has participated regularly in conversations about the future of her Battleteam - Nighthawk - and its future progression. Her contributions, inclusion of her characters (and their unique Points of View in fiction), and participation in Team & House Chat show that she is part of this community… and our Family.
Thank you for continuing forward in the face of adversity, for carving time out of your schedule when you have none for sleep, and caring about your fellow members. You have been extremely brave over the better part of the year and placed your trust in your leadership’s hands. Today, we recognize the hard work, sacrifices, and long road you have walked to get here. Stick with us a little bit longer and let us show you that it is not temporary, but for the long haul.

A Grand Cross of the Dark Side is nothing to shy away from. This reward is given out to those that have done much within the Brotherhood. This is something that should not come as a shock to those who know Vivibelle, better known as Rhiann. She constantly battles with her time to get a few minutes here and there for some extra sleep and relaxation time, yet somehow still finds the ability to put some into the Dark Brotherhood. We’d like to thank her for whatever she can provide, and help her as much as we can going forward.
The struggles are real, and you know that first hand, Rhi. Don’t stop having fun. We all know what it is to slave away just to survive, but we also know that we have to make time for ourselves. One good way to do that is just to chat with people here. We are always here listening, either on Telegram or on the game of your choice. Keep doing what you can to enjoy yourself as much as possible. Once again, congratulations on your first Grand Cross!

A Grand Cross of the Dark Side is the highest non-sacrificial award a member of the Dark Brotherhood can attain. It is a recognition of one’s passion and devotion to their Clan and the Brotherhood as a whole. Earning this award is not a matter of working hard on a special project or excelling in competition, but instead taking the commitment to do one’s best despite the challenges that life throws in their way, and to keep doing so over the long haul.
The numbers in Braecen’s recommendation speak for themselves in terms of Vivibelle’s activity, but that is only part of the story. Vivi’s RL job often forces her to work long hours and rarely offers days off. Despite these challenges, she continues to be active in Clan activities. She games when she can, and she continues to maintain an active and vibrant presence on Telegram. Life has thrown- indeed, continues to throw- challenges in her way, but she faces them head-on and tries to make the best of things in contributing to Arcona.
It is for these reasons that I gladly add my own voice in recommending Vivibelle Baenre for her first Grand Cross of the Dark Side. Vivi, through you may not see it yourself, you have shown yourself as a symbol of inspiration for those who desire to be an active part of the Brotherhood but are challenged by life and lack of time. You have more than earned this award and have every reason to be justifiably proud of yourself.
