Some projects take longer than expected. Real life gets in the way, vendettas get in the way, sometimes even having too big of a staff gets in the way as people fall off the map, leaving work to be done that they promised and didn't deliver. This is how some big projects get mired down. With every passing month, the project seems further and further away, and people's expectations for it continue to grow. It takes a lot of dilligence, a lot of perseverance to push past those interruptions and get back into the work, pushing it to the final goal, which is the release. Tsainetomo, or Shi Long, came to me a long time back and started working on a refresh on the Lightsaber combat guide. It was to bring the old guide more current, and do something that the old one didn't: help members actually write their chosen forms. A team was recruited, work doled out, and then edited, presented and then edited again. Sai stood behind this process the whole time, taking the critiques, making the adjustments, wrangling the team, and keeping their collective heads in the game. It was Sai that sent out the constant reminder emails, pushing people to complete their sections. It was Sai that begged for code support. It was Sai who brought the work through the editing process, and it was Sai that pushed all of us to get this out the door. It wasn't easy, but it was important, and it was his steady hand that steered the project to completion. At a time when interest in seeing this project through to its completion had waned, Aeson stepped up and promptly volunteered to handle a couple of Forms. For his efforts in supporting the creation of the Lightsaber Guide 2.0, chiefly for assisting with the content for Soresu and Makashi, I hereby recommend Aeson Rhys be awarded a Dark Cross --- OPM Shi Long

I have been working on the Lightsaber Guide 2.0 for the past 4 years, and I believe that the latest iteration of the staff (as seen in the Impressum) was the most instrumental in ensuring the project’s completion. Without Tim, the guide would not have the current flavor it does now. Tim invented a good portion of the layout that is currently seen, co-wrote Form I with me, and wrote Forms V and VI. His ideas helped to shape Shien, Trakata, Vaapad and Juyo and pushed the guide in the direction of illustrating the relationships between the forms - no small task, considering our source material and the fact that there really is no “practical” way to vet our forms. Therefore, his insight, imagination and drive should be awarded, in my opinion, with a Steel Cross. Congratulations, and thanks again, Tim --- OPM Shi Long

Griever’s imprint on the Lightsaber Guide 2.0 can be seen in the content encompassing Ataru, Soresu and Shien; his early involvement was the impetus in ensuring the project was completed. For his selfless contributions to a project sure to be enjoyed by a large portion of the membership and that will surely shape other facets of the Club such as the SA, the Wiki, Character Sheets and the ACC, I hereby recommend Griever be awarded a Anteian Cross.
