Primary reason

Hades was a force to be reckoned with in Tarentum during the most recent GJW, something only partly shown by his participation in six out of the twelve events (though that's certainly nothing to sneeze at). Hades' most important contribution was in his leadership from the front. While competing himself, he was constantly encouraging, cajoling, and even shaming other members of the Clan into upping their own participation numbers. That's the thing that's so important to me about Hades' leadership. He doesn't direct the action from above, thinking himself too good to get his own hands dirty. Instead, he rolls up his sleeves and works just like he expects all the rest of us to. For all that he's done and continues to do for the Clan, I recommend him for this Anteian Cross. Thank you, my friend.

Additional reasons

Hades has been a force behind the scenes of Tarentum since I joined. During the GJW, he was among those that pushed our members to do more. Always vocal, Hades moved us to do what we could to get things done. Not only that, but he also competed in half of the events of the Great Jedi War himself. On top of this, he is always available to lend an ear or offer insight on the future of Tarentum. Above all, he truly cares about the Clan, and has worked tirelessly to ensure we unite together to prove we're here to stay. It's my pleasure to request that Hades be given an Anteian Cross.

Sala Fe, 2015-02-27 17:56:35 UTC

Hades is one of the hardest working and least recognized members of Tarentum. He is the longest serving EQ2 in the entire Brotherhood. As my Aedile he was a crucial part of developing our House fiction over the past year. He has been keeping in contact with all of our members and helping me to build our roster and participation. He thinks out of the box when it comes to recruiting; it was largely his idea to start our social media activities which have already begun to pay off in a number of ways. He is always a voice of reason and positivity in Tarentum and has been crucial in holding things together even when it looked the bleakest. He has been working to contact old members of Tarentum and convince them to come back, and to bring those who are on our roster but not so active back into activity. He's an honest, smart, hard working and capable leader. I am proud to recognize him for his many years of faithful and often thankless work in Tarentum.

Samael Ozriel has been a force of nature for some time in Tarentum, constantly striving to make it a better unit. This was abundantly true during the GJW where he was a constant presence, cheering on his Housemates, offering feedback on submissions, and challenging all of us to give it our best. He was not content just to sit on the sidelines and expect others to do the work, however; he was in fact one event shy of a perfect participation rate, competing in 10 out of the 11 events in the GJW. Samael’s shown himself to be a strong leader not just during the GJW, however; he’s made an effort to have a constant stream of interesting activities for both his Battle Team and Tarentum as a whole to utilize, with four just in the month of December before he stopped for the GJW.

He also has played a key role in our efforts to better our House (now Clan) through his efforts at the Summit’s direction to create a multi-part story arc for the House to undergo as we regain our fictional footing. His efforts, even this early on in the project, have netted us almost 4000 words of solid competition ideas, plot points, and NPCs. For his dedication to Tarentum and drive to see us succeed, I am happy to recommend him for this Steel Cross. Thank you, Samael!

Adept Farrin Xies Tarentae, 2015-02-27 14:11:54 UTC
Additional reasons

Every once in a while, someone joins this group and instantly becomes one of 'us'. Samael has not been with Tarentum a very long time, but my God the impact this man has had on our Clan. He came in swinging as soon as he joined. His unending dedication to all things Tarentum has even taken our elders by surprise, and as you probably know that is no small feat. He has done anything and everything the summit has asked of him and always came back for more, eager to bring Tarentum back as a force to be reckoned with. His efforts to help us move into a new future bathed in full evil darkness is unsurpased by elder or summit. His ideas are going to be the core of Tarentum's future.

But his effots do not end there. No, Samael also spared no expense during the GJW as far as time and effort. Completing 10 out of 11 events. He helped to proofread and give feedback on submissions and was constantly asking and prodding members if they have finished a submission so no one would forget. And as soon as the GJW was over, he went to work making sure Tarentum will survive. He is an amazing member and he will be a fantastic leader in the very near future. Of that I have no doubt. For that, I would like to award SBM Samael Ozriel the Steel Cross.

Warlord Hades, 2015-02-27 14:11:09 UTC

Samael is just an all around great guy, and what's better is that he's exactly the great guy we've needed. He's a horror writer when we've been trying to build our horror theme. He's tireless when it comes to competitions. He loves to train apprentices and what's more, he's really good at it. I can honestly say his enthusiasm and drive have kept me going when my own steam has run low. He has been an active BTL, running competitions and staying in contact with his members to keep them active. His voice has been prevalent on our mailing lists and WhatsApp encouraging us all to be better and do more, and always to contribute to that good old Tarentum Momentum. I am confident that Samael will rise to become an accomplished leader in Tarentum and will become an important part of our legend. I am proud to recognize his achievements and hard work over the last several months.

Primary reason

Frosty Romanae Tarentae has proven himself to be one of the premier gamers in the Clan and the entire DJB through his activities in the GJW. Just since the beginning of the year, he’s earned an astonishing 247 Clusters of Fire, and in fact his efforts in the gaming arena were enough to earn him a Bronze Nova for Gaming in the first portion of the GJW. Beyond just gaming, he responded to our call to increase each member’s participation numbers by entering three other events for a total of four during the course of the GJW; though he didn’t place in the others, taking the time away from his gaming to do them was still very much appreciated and helpful.

Beyond just competing and gaming, however, Frosty is also a vital member of Tarentum, his seniority coming in useful as a mentor to the newer members of the Clan who aspire to be as strong of gamers as he is. For all these reasons, we are proud to recommend him for a Steel Cross. Thanks, Frosty!

Adept Farrin Xies Tarentae, 2015-02-27 04:26:49 UTC
Additional reasons

Frosty has been a huge help to Tarentum in many ways. He won a nova in the Great Jedi War for gaming and submitted to several other events to help boost our participation numbers. He has been active in discussions with everyone on IRC and email and was one of the first to join our WhatsApp group. He has contributed a lot to developing our plans for the future and in particular keeping our gaming culture alive and well. He and Egregious have begun hosting training sessions for gaming, which are sure to make us a force to be reckoned with in future competitions. I am proud to recommend this award in recognition of Frosty's many recent contributions in all facets of Tarentum's activities.

Scion Tarentae, 2015-02-27 03:02:56 UTC

This Frosty guy is about as solid and loyal a Tarenti that we have. He has racked up an impressing amount of CFs just this year alone, and I am sure he is just getting started. Frosty is an older member of Tarentum. He has been there and done that, but he recent actions have shown exactly what he is made of. He has taken it upon himself to teach the newer members of Tarentum how to game in the DB...and win. He is starting to hold classes on gaming every week. His dedication to his Clan and the DB is exactly what we all wish for in our membership.

Aynar d’Tana was one of our hardest workers during the GJW, serving as a vital member of one of our Run On teams and one of our battle plan teams, as well as competing in five other individual events. All told, Aynar competed in seven out of the eleven possible events, serving as a positive model for other Tarenti to follow suit.

His efforts over the past year (the time since his last merit medal) showcase a member quietly but steadily working - entering competitions, writing fiction, gaming - to bring his Clan and himself credit. His success in this area can be shown by the wide variety of awards he’s received since January of 2014: seven Clusters of Ice, a Bronze Nova for the Fading Light Vendetta, a Scroll of the Master, a Crescent with a Quartz Star, a Legion of the Scholar, and (most impressively) twenty-six Seals of the Crusader. To show our appreciation for his hard work and impressive results, we recommend him for a Anteian Cross. Thank you, Aynar!

Adept Farrin Xies Tarentae, 2015-02-27 04:27:55 UTC
Additional reasons

Aynar is a very solid, hard working member of Tarentum. He's not always the loudest voice, but when there's a competition we count on him to show up. In the Great Jedi War he participated in seven of the eleven events, including the RO team that I was on. It has been quite some time since we have recognized his work, and so it is my pleasure to finally rectify that oversight. I am proud to recommend Aynar for a long overdue Anteian Cross.

Scion Tarentae, 2015-02-27 03:25:45 UTC

I am really proud of how Aynar operates. He is a constantly active in many ways, yet doesn't boast about it everywhere he can. He is a solid member of the team, no matter what team that is. He worked hard during the GJW, earning seven seals for his efforts. He has been a wonderful member of Tarentum and I am so glad that he is now earning a reward for his constant effort to better this Clan. Well done Aynar.

Caesar is a great example of a member who truly doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. He’s a constant presence on the Clan’s mailing list, always good to start a conversation or keep it going. He also is often in the inboxes of the Clan’s leadership, asking for things he can do to help or ways he can give back to the Clan; it’s a real can-do attitude that is truly refreshing.

He also backs up his words with actions, however. Since he joined Tarentum in September of 2014, he’s received 40 Clusters of Fire and 2 Clusters of Ice. Most importantly, he competed in three events during the Nicht Ka portion of Fading Light and, recently, all three of the events he was able to during the GJW. This Dark Cross is the least we could do to show him our appreciation for his attitude and the effort to back it up. Thank you, Caesar!

Adept Farrin Xies Tarentae, 2015-02-27 04:33:45 UTC
Additional reasons

Caesar is an enthusiastic, active member who is always talking to the Summit and to other members of Tarentum. He has been a primary voice of encouragement through the Great Jedi War in all our various forms of communication. At the end of the GJW he worked with me to start a social media project. He has been managing our Facebook page, sharing a ton of Star Wars content and accumulating several new "likes" for us in a short time. More impressive is his work on Twitter, where he has been sharing content and retweeting our Tarentum account's tweets. With his help we have been able to accumulate more than 40 followers in just a few days. His spelling isn't always outstanding but his attitude and follow through are. We are very glad to have him in Tarentum and I am proud to recognize his work over the past few months.

Scion Tarentae, 2015-02-27 02:55:17 UTC

Caesar is something else. I have to search for and wide in my memory to ever recall having the pleasure of working with a member who is so enthusiastic about helping anyone with anything they need. Caesar is one of those members whom you can really count on to lend a hand in any project or give feedback to any idea. He is dedicated to this clan and to the DB as a whole. His constant and ever happy demeanor is infectious and an instant boost to anyone's morale. Caesar worked hard on the GJW with motivating people to work on submissions and to never forget a deadline. I believe his actions are more than enough to be rewarded with a Dark Cross.

Additional reasons

Since the new year my apprentice has inched closers to Knighthood and continues to show dedication and motivation regardless of the event or situation. During the Eleventh Great Jedi War Sebz participated in the Battleplan Event, Round 1 puzzle and the RO where he managed to post 3 250+ word posts. Sebz stepped up to the position of BTL upon my resignation and has show great improvement in his leadership. Therefore I, Battlelord Jeric Cyrin of the Sith Order, would like to recommend my apprentice, Jedi Hunter Sebz Janren, be award a Dark Cross for his efforts during the War and service as BTL. Congrats!

Jeric Cyrin, 2015-02-25 06:36:10 UTC

Sebz has been a whirlwind of activity since his last merit medal. Aside from participating in three events during the GJW and earning himself three Seals of Revelation as a result. He has consistently delivered reports on time and contacted the members of his BT on a regular basis to ensure things are running smoothly. He has also been contacting other members of the House, attempting to recruit them into the BT. For his dedication and unwavering loyalty to the Clan, I would like to award Sebz with a Dark Cross.

Well done!
