The A-A5 Speeder Truck Platoon is a troop transport unit that consists of eight A-A5 Speeder Trucks, along with eight pilots, eight gunners, eight technicians, and four mechanics to operate and maintain them. While not ordinarily intended to be used for heavy combat, each vehicle is covered in armor as strong as some light military vehicles. Offensive capabilities are provided by a roof-mounted laser cannon turret. Operated by the pilots in the platoon, each can carry 25 passengers allowing the platoon to carry 200 soldiers or passengers.
