Created by the Children of Mortis to supplement their militant forces, their entire spine, tails, claws, and tops of their heads are comprised of ascendant crystals. They have a high level of intelligence rivaling sentience, and are known for hunting in packs. They are cruel and ferocious creatures who seek to devour everything in their path.
