The Endurance-class Fleet Carrier is a 1040-meter long Destroyer designed as a command vessel and a base ship for starfighters. Built on the same basic hull of the Nebula-class Star Destroyer, weapons were sacrificed to make room for extra fighters. Hyperdrive capable, this vessel has average speed and maneuverability, with light shields and heavy armor. Although equipped with a formidable anti-starfighter weapon system, the fleet carriers are usually protected by screening ships and starfighters. They are not designed to enter the savage heart of battle, but to deploy and coordinate smaller ships.
