The Regiment is a regiment strength unit with a dedicated headquarters (HQ) staff that is not normally involved in combat that includes a large prefabricated base that can be customized to meet the conditions of a specific deployment that can serve as a home for the troops assigned to it. This base includes command and control rooms, vehicle bays, detention cells, a medcenter and a large repair workshop with capabilities to produce spare parts in support of long-term resupply and support operations as well as sensors and communications towers. The base is lightly armored with a basic shield as well as six heavy turbolaser turrets for anti-armor defense. Usually stationed in orbit aboard a vessel, a regiment can be deployed to a planet's surface depending on the length and nature of a deployment. This HQ oversees the interactions between the battalions and elements that make it up improving the capabilities of each in carrying out their missions over what each could achieve independently. Each Regiment is augmented by 4 Battalions, the capabilities of which determine the specialized roles the Regiment can fill.
