Star Station Asuras is a large space station that is built around the cleansed World Seed crystal that was used against Aliso by the Children of Mortis. Though it is 2,800 meters across and nearly 2,900 tall, the station has a mass just slightly less than a Golan III defense platform. This is due to the fact that the center of the station is open, empty space that is built around its main weapon. The World Seed crystal has been repurposed, using the crystal’s ability to forge connections between different locations to link the station to the heart of the system primary, Aliso I. This capability has been harnessed into a Stellar Interphase Device that is capable of generating a connecting interphase projected into the open space within the station’s center.

This interphase connection can project one of two different functions, though it can only maintain one effect at a time with a full ten minute reset cycle required to switch from one to the other. It can be used to connect to the gravity well of the star, allowing the station to project a mass shadow into hyperspace that can cover most of the near-Aliso space out to a distance of roughly 1.5 million kilometers. This mass shadow prevents hyperspace travel either into or out of this area, forcing vessels to use sublight drives instead. Secondarily, this connection can be used to instead form a more physical connection, projecting a single beam of stellar material from the heart of the star at a selected target. This connection can be maintained for long periods, and this stellar material can have devastating effects on unshielded targets. It is less effective against energy shields, however, and the beam of superheated plasma must be maintained for a longer time to burn its way through ray shielding.
